surface dweller

stones.  Skimming the surface

scattered and skipping through life

paying the barest attention – wobbling from origin to destiny

a thousand points of purpose between our source and our end

afraid of sinking – mindful of becoming mired

in the depths of any one thing;

the consequence of shallow self-service.

fear.  Affirms our flight in spite of the fearless

hand that cast us spinning

‘cross boundless ocean of love divine

abide. The voice of reason tells us

abide in love, sink deeply in

the salt sea of service one to another

and trust the hand that cast us

to free us from our fear.
