light invisible

Lord, let me see again…

what blindness badgers us,

that this might be our plea?

Our sight is compromised

by ordinary optics –

the world, absorbing all visible light;

every available wavelength

focused on fragile fixtures

and feel-good fluff.

Lord, let me see again,

that society’s scales might fall away

and I might witness that hidden glory

just below the surface –

Ultra-visible, if you will.

Needing first the master’s touch –

a word of encouragement –

permission to see the world

as God-resonant.
